I came for one coffee before a drive to Ubud and stayed until the light went. Nobody rushed me once.

A creative hub for a sustainable community, wrapped around the rice fields of Cepaka, Tabanan.
Cepaka, Tabanan
Kimnara Space is not just a commercial space. It is part of a sustainability ecosystem, and every economic activity that happens here is tied to a measurable outcome at the Cepaka Learning Center next door — where plastic waste is processed, classes are run, and value is returned to the village.
So what happens here is not a transaction. Order a coffee and you have moved something, slightly, in a direction the village chose for itself.

They walked us through the waste workshop before lunch. My daughter has been sorting our bins ever since.

Worked from the upper deck for a week. Fast connection, no music fighting you, rice fields on three sides.

The nasi campur tasted like it came out of a family kitchen, not a cafe. That is the whole compliment.

Sunset from the western terrace, rindik playing somewhere behind me. I have not stopped describing it to people.

Cepaka Learning Center
Every plastic item that passes through the cafe is sorted, shredded and pressed on site into boards and tiles. Some of it comes back as the furniture you are sitting on.

Before you come
For the terrace and the field tables, yes, and we recommend it between four and seven. The main room and the upper deck are always kept for walk-ins.
It is. Guided tours run at eleven and at three, they take around forty minutes, and there is no charge. Saturday mornings are reserved for the children's classes.
Around fifty minutes from Canggu and just over an hour from Ubud. Parking is on site and free. The last stretch is a village road, so drive it gently.
Both, everywhere except the roastery floor. There is a shaded garden beside the Learning Center that most families end up in.
Yes — dinners, launches, workshops and ceremonies, up to a hundred and twenty guests across the site. Write to us and we will send the current rates and what the space can and cannot do.
